/// BREWERS SWIMSUIT ISSUE 2011

Brewers Swimsuit Issue 2011
Celebrator's Annual Swimsuit Issue
When we first had the brilliant idea of doing a spoof on the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue many years ago, we thought it might run for one or two years. The idea was to get pictures of brewers in swimsuits and brew boots in the brewhouse.

Brewers, being a creative lot, went off in a lot of different directions, giving us a delightful portfolio of swimsuit-centric compositions, including Greg Koch and the Stone Brewing gang creating a malt beach in the brewhouse; the Kona brew crew underwater in full scuba gear drinking beer! (both made cover); a retired porn star at Walking Man Brewing (we had to apologize to a mommy whose daughter saw it, and we promised never to do it again); the Anderson Valley Brewing gang nekked (guys, it’s the SWIMSUIT issue!); and snakes. Yes, snakes with swimsuit-clad beer lads and lasses in the brewhouse!

Here are this year’s contributions and one vintage flashback. Be sure to cajole your local brewers into getting something together for our swimsuit feature next year!

One of our first swimsuit issues featured Teri Fahrendorf, then head of brewing for Steelhead Brewery in Eugene, Ore., who was our first “brewster” to contribute. She is also cofounder of the Pink Boots Society of professional women brewers.
