ROLLING
BOIL BLUES BAND AT FALLING ROCK 2007
www.fallingrocktaphouse.com
On Wednesday night, October 10, after the Brewers
Reception at Wynkoop, the party moved to the unofficial
HQ of Beer Week in Denver, Falling Rock Tap House,
a few blocks east toward Coors Field. Marty Jones
and the Brewbadors opened the set with some spirited
beer-soaked tunes.
The Denver 2007 contingent of Rolling Boil Blues
Band consisted of regular bass player Bruce Joseph,
brewer and distiller at Anchor Brewing in San
Francisco; John Harris, brewmster, Full Sail Brewing
and Hood River, Portland, Oregon; longtime RB3
harp player Marty Jones, Oscar Blues Brewing,
Lyons, Colorado; Dave Alexander, publican at the
Brickskeller, Washington, D.C.; debuting on drums
was Barney Brennan, brewer at Full Sail Brewery,
Hood River, Oregon, and band leader Tom Dalldorf,
vocals, rhythm guitar and publisher of the Celebrator
Beer News. The band was tight (not that way!)
and hot!
Joining the band for Hop This Town was
Julie Bradford, editor and publisher of All About
Beer magazine in Durham, N.C. No stranger to the
microphone, Julie jumped right in and held her
own with Tom and the band! The crowd seemed to
love it!
Beer Goddess and Brewster Hildegard van Ostanden
introduced a new beer, a wood-aged Samaranth that
was outstanding and seemed to put the band in
a suspended state of wonderfulness. Chris Black,
King of Falling Rock, took pictures and brought
pitchers, the latter most appreciated by the thirsty
bandmates!
The spirit of great beer is alive and well at
Falling Rock Tap House in Denver and the band
got one of its best receptions yet from the true
brew believers attending!

Marty Jones and the Brewbadors kicked off the
evening with their beer-soaked tunes.

The Rolling Boils then took the stage and beat
it into submission.

Dalldorf and Alexander got their dueling Fenders
screeching!

Marty Jones wailed on the blue harp.

Dave Alexander gets down and funky...

...and does his best Jimi Hendrix impression!

Bruce Joseph is the rock at The Rock! The beat
is in his fingers.

John Harris shows his skills to the tune Home
Brew Charlie.

Julie Bradford's mischievous smile belies her
demonic singing chops.

Tom's sweaty singing style also includes being
able to swallow the mic whole!

Tom and Julie have a moment.

Dave gets EXTRA funky!

After the gig, Chris congratulates Diane Alexander
for putting up with Dave for all those years.

Tom and Hildegard share an after-gig Hop It.
Yum!

Dave, Chris and Tom cool off outside with more
